The eighth season of The Walking Dead, an American post-apocalyptic horror television series on AMC, premiered on October 22, 2017, and will consist of 16 episodes. Developed for television by Frank Darabont, the series is based on the eponymous series of comic books by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. The executive producers are Kirkman, David Alpert, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Tom Luse, and Gale Anne Hurd, with Gimple as showrunner. This season adapts the All Out War story arc from the comics, with the survivors of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, the Hilltop Colony, and the Kingdom taking on Negan and the Saviors.

Storyline

Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes gets shot and falls into a coma. When awoken he finds himself in a Zombie Apocalypse. Not knowing what to do he sets out to find his family, after he’s done that he gets connected to a group to become the leader. He takes charge and tries to help this group of people survive, find a place to live, and get them food. This show is all about survival, the risks, and the things you’ll have to do to survive.

The Walking Dead season 4 is one more continuation of the story about the people who are trying to save themselves from zombies. Owing to the virus many people become zombies and only a small group manages to survive. It has already several months passed. In the The Walking Dead previous seasons several people hide in the former federal prison. There appear new residents there. Despite the whole catastrophe of the situation, people are trying to get used to the new life. For instance, Rick is now growing vegetables and keeping livestock. At the same time his daily task is to destroy zombies which are always nearby. However, the main danger seems to go from the Governor.
